God in the Bible tells us that:
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ His Son.
So, God does not want us to remain separated from Him!
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die... (Ezekiel 33:11)
The Lord is...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (II Peter 3::9)
You might be thinking, "well I could never possilbly remember all the things I have done wrong in my life.: Friend, the Lord is not interested in whether you can recall every wrong deed, He is only interested in you acknowledging that you are a sinner and have lived your life apart from Him. If you will do that He will forgive you and you can spend eternity with Him.

Father God, I come to you at this moment to ask you to forgive me of my sins and make my life anew. I acknowledge today that I have not lived my life in a way that pleases you and ask you to help me to change that. Lord Jesus please come into my life and be my Lord today.
I thank you Heavenly Father that you have heard my prayer and based on your promise in your Word (the Bible) I am forgiven and have a place in eternity with you.
